Book Week 2017

In Week 9 of Term 2 we celebrated our annual Book Week. We ran a Scholastic Book Fair where books could be purchased for personal use or donated to the library.

Our two special guests this year were storyteller Stu Duval and author Melinda Szymanik.

Melinda  shared her books and gave us some writing tips. She said to write you need to start with three things: Imagination, Experience and Curiosity.

FABO is a free writing contest for kids! There’ll be a new story to write every fortnight.

We all enjoyed hearing Melinda's new book Fuzzy Doodle which is a finalist in this year's Book Awards for Children and Young Adults.

Our Term 2 whole school inquiry was around space and beyond. We were fortunate to have around 70 non fiction books on space in our own library.
