Red Rocks Book Review

Red Rocks is a fantastic book about selkies who are seal people. One day this boy finds a seal skin and meets the selkie who dropped it. He also makes friends with the selkie and finds out the truth about the selkie community. This book would suit animal lovers, boys and girls aged 9-11 years old. Book Review

The Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a fantastic series about a boy named Greg. In the books he tells you his life and what happens to him on a monthly basis. These books are very interesting to read because he has an odd family and he gets teased at school. I recommend these books for ages 7-12 years old.

Term 4 Library Display

Carson's Book Review

This book is a good book for ages 8 and up. It is a funny comic book and it has flipparama, which is when you flip the pages really quickly, it looks like a moving cartoon. It has futuristic time travel in it and lots of action. You should read this book because I know you will enjoy it. You can find it in Senior Fiction, B section in our school library.

National Poetry Day

Last Friday was National Poetry Day and the Library celebrated by having an open mic, where students and teachers read their favorite poems or poems they had written. It was a huge success with the whole library filled up with mostly seniors and some juniors. What a great day!

Mr Stink

Mr Stink by David Walliams

This book is about a girl and she sees a man on the bench and everyone calls him Mr Stink. She thinks that he is really interesting and always wondered what he did in the past. One day she talks to him and he asks her if she can bring him some food. She brings him food and then she does it daily. It's a fantastic page turner because you see how two strangers become good friends.

Book Review By Lucas

Father Christmas, The Naked Truth by Knife & Packer. I recommend this book because it is really funny. It tells you a different story of Father Christmas, one that you wouldn't expect. It is a fantastic chapter book with lots of pictures like a comic book. This book would be suitable for ages year 4 and up and for people who like cartoons.
